Ten (1991) - Pearl Jam 1991

I dare say, that " Ten" is the album that most influenced me in my life. In 1992, a year after it was released, my friends Alberto , Fer , James and I , we begin to listen to music on our own, away from the influence they exercised over all of us our elder brothers, except in the case of Fer I think I heard these groups from birth, perhaps because he never had an older brother who influenced him.

In our neighborhood had installed a satellite dish for some time and we could see the MTV . An MTV that from my point of view, was at its peak with programs such as "Alternative Nation "," 120 minutes , "" Beavis and Butthead "or" Most wanted "away from the tacky 80's and gave a disappointing turn in the next decade. Sniffing in that wonderful
of 1992 MTV saw the video of "Even Flow ", recorded live at the Moore Theatre of Seattle and was marked much energy on one stage! It was like taking the wildest moments of fifteen live bands and condense in 5 minutes. Impressive, especially Eddie Vedder , playing the type to plunge the audience from one of the balconies of the theater. Fer

bought the tape and left me. In my house we were to work and my room was a large window without curtains, a heavy smell of gotéele and a folding bed, which was below the cassette where again and again sounded the themes of "Ten " These are days I remember with particular intensity because the 15 years, at least my 15 years, represent the time when you stop playing it seem to you brat bullshit, you start questioning what parents say you'd rather be with friends the street or in your room locked rather than with the family. I know that words can be hard for a parent, but it is so, is the summit of adolescence.

And in all that time was at my side the "Ten " by Pearl Jam , a unique album, with a strength and a huge rage and a few cuts that almost as perfect as the excess. As for his songs, all with the highest score, my highest admiration from every angle, energy and tranquility in one album.

1991, the year punk broke , year Pearl Jam released their first and best album. The first of a series that, despite having gone down in quality have not even lost, although energy. The "Ten " took the palm of the energy of all the works of Pearl Jam and then went down very slowly over the following two: " VS (1993 ) and" Vitalogy ( 1994) and slightly faster from " No code" (1998 ) arriving to lose "exceptional" while remaining large disks. If we speak of a great and unique fall is not the same if you jump from 10,000 meters from 100. I do not know if I explain.

The February 15, 1992 Pearl Jam act in the room " Revolver" in Madrid , before 500 people including my friend is William "The Conqueror" not forget the image of Eddie Vedder arms around the room in public front to back What the hell I would walk by that day? Wasting time and certainly nothing better than being in this concerto What were you doing?

Highlights:
  • All . This album is like a great orgasm foreplay begins with the first cut, "Once " and ends with you asleep without Having A removed and the condom with the last, "Release " whose end, curiously, takes you to the beginning of "Once "
Comment on this disc, please and thank you very much.
