Leisure (1991) - Blur

Time to enter the dream world of Blur in those youth choirs, those boots Martins and these poles Fred Perry, in that self-confidence and a desire to sleep with as many girls possible and in such steps festivals in the UK doing most vibrant group assistant and participant in these concerts in slums crummy leaving 100 people shocked the shift. Ladies and gentlemen, we 1991 and we are witnessing the debut album by Blur , one of the best groups that has given the United Kingdom.

When thinking Leisure me constantly comes to mind a fresh and lively youth waves and a huge desire to have fun heciendo music something that thousands of groups of friends have tried once, but that only a few like Blur have combined with enormous talent and, therefore, have failed. It is true that it is their best album, much less, in fact the very Damon Albarn has said that along with "The Great Escape (1995 ) are the two worst records the band. I do not know if I'll be right because none of the Blur albums and I feel bad, of course, what follows is an energy that would continue the " Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993 ) y el " Parklife " ( 1994 ), sus dos mejores trabajos, y que iría perdiendo fuerza después con trabajos como el " 13 " ( 1999 ) o el " Think Tank " ( 2003 ) donde se ve una clara ruptura con un pasado genial y un giro hacia nuevas historias de menor calidad, quizás.

For this I recommend you dig out the video "Starshaped (1994 ) where you will see, according to the synopsis of the three years hidden camera on the road with Blur, from Reading 1991 through the dark years of the EEC in 1992 and to the Modern life and discover that most teenagers about Blur acustumbrarse trying to have a camera follow them in their concerts, festivals, their fights etc . It is also a document to see how they were by Blur live then. Not very good, indeed, especially Albarn has never been known for having a great voice.

Highlights:
  • The letters . I do not know whether for better or worse because they are not great writing, but accurately reflect the youthful spirit of the disc. Read " Fool," "She's so high " or " There's No Other Way ('re Taking the fun / Out of Everything / I do not want to think at all )
  • " Repetition "and how well each instrument is side by side (to the voice!) Ship

Black Album (1991) - Metallica

1991, aged 15 Metallica knew that time they released their fifth vinyl, but it ceased to be, my children's eyes , a furry that caught my attention. But when I really was reached to following the release of this record and, especially, after viewing video on television as " Enter Sandman," "Sad But True " (I love this video, with those eyes Hetfiled and those fans going crazy) and "Nothing Else Matters ", especially these last two, after I burn the MTV put them over and over again. This detail is a clear sign of radical change experienced by the sound of the band with this album that earned them criticism from many of his most classic headbangers and fans.

The popularly known as "Black Album ( 1991) had a lot of singles, five of which suggests it was a real success that Ulrich & Co . were able to take advantage with an impressive four years tour that began in October 1991 and ended in August 1994 , coming to have, Metallica have never tired of live, a little continuity between August and December 1995 called Escape from the Studio '95 "when recorded his next album "Load (1996 ). Anecdotally I would say that in 2006 repeated the same formula when he recorded his album "Death Magnetic ( 2008 ) with" Escape from the Studio '06 "Specifically from 12 October 1991 and 4 July 1993 Metallica only stayed 77 days without being on the road . With this I want to emphasize that to me is one of the best tours of all time, together with ZOO TV U2 of adorn the special musical moment that lived along around the world in the early 90's. In 1993 and to put the icing on this spectacular tour, they released the box Live Shit, Binge And Purge "with three hours of audio, video and up to five hair knot James Hetfiled inside a replica of one of the trunks of tour group Delirious! In June of that year, Metallica performed at the field Rayo Vallecano in Madrid water under a blanket of print. I saw it on video and I envy not left him alone until three years later, in 1996 , I saw them at the stadium in La Peineta with my Fermin Guillermo and my " The conquistador "curtain by Corrosion Of Conformity and Soundgarden Almost nothing! And to finish with the section of the fabulous tour with Metallica because of their "Black Album " talk about the stage in the tour Wherever I May Roam Tour "in the sands of U.S. and Canada that shaped diamond , stood in the center of campus and had within it an area reserved for the few fans, called "Snakepit " nest of snakes or asylum where How not to go crazy? In the box " Live Shit, Binge And Purge ( 1993) are the planes and here you can see where I was (although Hetfiled and his voice is terrible ...) and also here

This " Black Album" opens with one of the first riffs I learned on guitar, the "Enter Sandman "in order to accompany my friend Michel in the evenings the beach in Benidorm English guitar with my older sister. Behind this riff riffs came the rest of the album would bet to say that they are the more people have learned with their guitars on the planet. Myself, for example, I must say that this album helped, no doubt, I really liked playing guitar because it was a pass play their songs with two guitars and what sounded good. Then came the " contortus " with James , Fer and James and that became like an addiction. Too bad they never saliésemos end of rehearsal ...

And a little more can I say about this wonderful disc. reveals the mastery of their creators and how they knew make his fame in the world of Thrash in stellar reputation worldwide shaking the foundations of the arenas and stadiums around the globe with a mixture of hard sounds , melodies and riffs to cut and paste on the wall.

Highlights:

  • Cleaning the hype in all courts. (The first double bass that I paid attention)
  • six minute long "The Unforgiven " charged with emotion.
  • Putting "Through The Never " just before "Nothing Else Matters " and turn in those ten minutes in a helluva contrast between heavy fastest and most beautiful ballad.
  • The piece of four-year tour. How many people will be able to see these types live from 1981 ? Ship
